he only got a yellow card for it, but he has since been suspended by the fa for serious foul play. pedro mendes had a siesure (sp?) on the pitch.

ill try and find a clip of it.

Chelsea will win it, but liverpool will be a close second !!
Spence
Thatchers an asshole, hope he gets kicked out of football the idiot.

However commiserations to Mendes, good player and he didn't deserve that so early on in the season.

Cardiff V's Birmingham tomorrow, top of the table clash.

yeah it could of easily been 3-2 to wetham but they didn't take there chances, did Arsnel lose ? to man city laugh.gif
Spence
Top of the league. The atmosphere was incredible, capacity was filled. Shame about the Birmingham fans ripping there seats out and throwing them at Cardiff fans at the end, but just shows they cannot take losing.

Preston away next. smile.gif
Spicker
birmingham fans were ripping seats out?! wtf is going on.
Spence
Yeah, and trying to surge on the pitch, but the stewards did a good job. Then they called in the riot police.

Chelsea won 2-0, shame Blackburn couldn't finish any of there early chances.
Spicker
what a surprise, chelsea got a lame penalty that shouldnt of been given, chelsea the commit a for worse challenge and fuck all happens. no change there then, wankers.

Premier League, while I think Chelsea will stumble for the minute they are too powerful so will retain the league.

Liverpool- great summer signings can't be denied the likes of Aurelio ona Free and Bellamy are starting to give them a stable squad, but these players still need to gel together, and there is still that feeling that Gerrard keeps them going, they'll pick up really good in about November/December and we'll see them push to 4th.

Arsenal - One signing to date which hasn't pleased Titi at all. Sadly Bentneder has gone on loan to Brum which is a shame because I hoped this would be the season for the likes of himself and Lupoli who himself has joined Derby on loan. Rosiky has the promise to be great and is what Henry's been after. i'd say 3rd.

Manchester United - If they stay consistent they could really push Chelsea, they lost Rudd but in Saha they have a player that can get 20 a season and proved that with Fulham , Ole back is like another signing too and if Park can get his arse into gear they really could hit 2nd.

Tottenham - The party's over for Jol and his posse, now Carrick's gone it falls to the likes of Huddlestone and Jenas, with the first being still a bit too young in my eyes and the latter not big enough to fill Carrick's attacking boots. Berbatov looks good, but won't get his 20 a season quota he set himself, and Defoe will become frustrated.

Now the relegation fight.

Watford - Great for Boothroyd and his lads to get where they are, but they have only bought Damien Francis, who is their current top scorer, they have the money but Boothroyd's reluctance to delve into the foreign markets by his own admission will make them suffer, luckily to go up really.

Reading - Got the money, got the brains but not spending. Will get goals with the likes of Seol and Lita but still look weak at the back, the goalkeeper Hanamehn looks poor too.

Sheff Utd- Love to see them stay up a fan of Warnock, but I think his complaining will really piss others off. Few signings, bar like Hulse and Legiertwood who are un-proven at this level.

And for the Blackburn fan - personally not a fan of them, cos they have scored to blatent handballs against us in two seasons. Some decent players the likes of Emerton , Reid, and Neill. Benni McCarthy is a big gamble as is Jeffers who couldn't score in a Brothel. Roberts looks a sound buy and if he can get a good partnership with Benni then see them in the UEFA cup again.

My own side- once again it's a "We look great on paper....when we get all our players back" Martins looks quality, and we arent' finished in the transfer market luckily. A good fullback maybe Bridge and a target man for Martins to work with could hopefully get us into the CL. Also Paul Hunnington could come forth as a good defender from the youth squad.

Cardiff Brum by the way seemed a big game, Chopra could really do well in that league put a bet on for him to get Double figures. Cameron Jermoe just left for Brum too which will no doubt piss off Cardiff fans, these too could be up the top with Bendnter of Arsenal also looking really good prospect.

As for Chelsea match, shame to say but Roberts honesty stopped him getting a penalty, with Oijer looking too tired by the end a bad idea by Hughes to play him.
Spence
Chopra is an excellent player, every time i have seen him play he's been amazing. Not just your usual striker who is dangerous on the break, but as he is not a tall lad he struggles to reach for headers but a thing he does do great is backing into the defender and when the ball comes to his feet his is aloud to turn, and with his blistering pace he is able to create chances out of nothing. Cardiff look a different side this season, and it's all because we have decent full backs. McNaughton and Gilbert (Loan from Arsenal) both go up the wing if they see the space and then pass it to the wide midfielders who then setup alot of chances. Whereas last season, both fullbacks would just get the ball and clear it up the pitch, they wouldn't do any running or create chances, thats one of the big differences this year.
The_Champ
Chopra has never had it easy, before he'd kick a first team ball he'd been professed as the "Next Shearer" "Rocky Chopra" as he's known did well for Watford and Barnsly in the lower leagues, so i'd say give him a few games and he'll be banging them in.

Gilbert looks good too, pacey bit small, but then you look at Stevie Carr, he could probs run all day and should do well at that level.
Spence
Dave Jones is the one to praise, with the limited money he had to spend, he has spent it very wisely and brought in some great players who are now first team regulars. Not just Gilbert, McNaughton and Chopra, but Roger Johnson, a replacement for Loovens or Purse if there injured and he's a brilliant defender. McPhail, midfielder, very good for this league. It's just a shame about not getting Koumas, but i hate to think of what it would be like, with him aswell.
The_Champ
I think Koumas has been unlucky, Bryan Robson is being a knob about it, he really should let him go for £1M they have to remember it's all Cardiff can afford, and if you just chucked add-ins or sell on clauses.

I think i'm going aswell.

I dunno, Preston away, thats not an easy game.
Rodney
Depends whether we play as badly as last time i saw them. Deary me.
The_Champ
You nuts Dave Nugent rapes that league, if he plays Preston win, if not Cardiff win Chopra brace.
Spicker
are you annoyed about martins gettin injured? how long is he out for?
Spence
He's out for eleven days i heard, just a dead leg.
The_Champ
It's a dead leg, which every player has had during a season self included, just rest it and he'll be back up. Owen didnt score on his debut so am not fussed Martins will show his class.
Spicker
ooooh, i saw he went off injured but i thought it was something more serious than a dead leg! i dont get why they come off with dead legs, i get them playing footy n skating all the time, takes 30 seconds to run it off and then its fine. cant really do much long term damage i dont think can it?
The_Champ
If it's the way I think he jarred his knee too, which can be really painful. You can walk it off but it tends to have an affect for a day or two.
Spence
Middlesborough 0-3 Portsmouth.

Kanu shows his class again.
