QUESTION! there was no port for the Ethernet cable in my Modem. At the moment, my modem is plugged in, like it has allways been, but now theres an Ethernet cable in the back on my computer, going to my 360. Is this OK? just wnat to check this before i try all the advice given.

erthenet cable goes into computer not modem.

mine just goes X360->>Ethernet cable->>laptop->>wireless
works nicely, you just have to go to network connections and allow your wireless connection to be shared.

Really he should explain what type of modem/wireless he has, otherwise it's blind leading the blind.
