I don't see any reason for these threads. It long ago has proved that trying to explain skateboarding to someone is counter-productive. Everyone learns differently (and there is never one approach to learning it) and what is more important is that individuals here fail to correctly and clearly put into words their thoughts (not due to poor language, but due to the intrinsic difficulty of explaining it). Secondly it is true that if a young person pays absolutely no attention to what he is doing and goes about it his own way he will adapt and learn faster. Oftentimes this kind of advice retardates their development. Please close down all such threads, this is the order of Count Majiev.

Although he's trying to be funny what he's saying is true..

BUT kids keep asking and asking, expecting a magic reply so they can suddenly do switch tres.. So theads like this keep them off the rest of the board..

Ive taught scores of skaters tricks, most better than me - but simple things like "move your foot a little" and things like that can make a huge difference.

Yeah that's true.. I've done that.. But it's not really something you can put in text on the internet.. That's what I'm saying..
