I started off my day with a visit down to Chapel Skate Park and after about 20 minutes I got bored and started speaking to one of Chapel's 4 skaters! We got talking and after 30 minutes we made out way to Chapel Station.

We got up the hill and if you've seen where our station is then it is a hill! We waited 20 minutes and got a £1.15 return to Buxton. We arrived in Buxton at 1:30 and ran into the centre of town where my mate bought some stinkbombs! wink.gif we walked up through town and got to the park 10 minutes later. I ain't skated in ages so I don't how to ride ramps very well..... ph34r.gif I got riding and started quite badly but after a bit of confidence came back I was skating the funbox and really got going

By the time I going well me & my mate discovered we had 8 minutes to run 1 mile! We'd only skated 45 minutes and we legged it and skated it back the amount of pipping cars! He tried to go to the vending machine at the station but I saw the train was going, we skated over to it and got on just as the doors were shutting and got back to Chapel in one piece. This is where stinkbombs come in he threw a small glass stinkbomb onto the train! biggrin.gif wink.gif laugh.gif

We skated Station Road and that can get you 60 mph speed! I skated the first corner at 20 mph before stopping and going 35 mph down to the bottom! I got speed wobble and bailed! I tripped my board flew 5 metres one way and I landed 5 metres in the side of the road on my arse with a scrapped knee and my arse aching like hell! I carried on the last 600 yards of the slope.

We went back to the park and had some before Grindy let a stink bomb off in the co-op

Last time I went up there there seemed more bmxers than skaters, although the skaters tend to stick to one half of the park and leave the bikers to the spine side of the park. You should try Glossop if you can get over there, they have just got a concrete park.

There were about 8 skaters and 2-3 Bladers. It was quite good and I'm going back

Here is Buxton park on Google Earth:

Small I know but I couldn't pan in anymore. The bottom half of the park is just a yard for basketball or whatever.

I skated Buxton again yesterday.

After two days of street skating and BMX's telling me I couldn't skate we arranged to go to Buxton. After two hours on the Funbox Grindog turned up and we went out to find Walton another useless skater. After getting to his house and finding he was still fast asleep at 1pm we buggered off to the station. We had 10 minutes to get there. We skated Chapel High School and got to the bottom of the Private Road with 7 minutes left. After getting halfway up we had 3.5 minutes to do it! We ran but ran out of steam and got to the station about 3 minutes late! 30 seconds later the train turns up! LOL!

We got into Buxton for 1:35 and had 3 hours to skate. I bought some stinkbombs on the way and bought a 1 litre of Chocolate Milkshake for 64p! It was a bargain! We got to the park after some street skating. I started out on the flatbank and we got to the halfpipe only to find Glossop Bladers had retardedly put wax on each single piece of coping in the park! It wasnt funny and the halfpipe was unusable.

After 2 1/2 hours I finally gave in and dropped in on the halfpipe and despite it being slippery it was fun! We street sklated for a bit longer and decided to go home. We got to the train a few minutes early and ended up on an empty carriage. We stinkbombed the train out and left the train with a nice rotten egg smell!
