Basically, (for those who don't want to read) Microsoft signed an agreement with Rockstar that forbids them to release GTA on the PS3 before it releases on the 360. MS is having trouble with fitting the game on 1 disc (of course...), and they don't want to make it multiple discs because it would "cause others to favor the PS3" (close enough quote...). IMO, the PS3 should be favored, because it is not holding back the game, and the media ALL FITS on a single disc. It has been delayed to at least March '08, instead of this October, because MS is trying to develop something to "compress" the data so that it will fit on a DVD9. But that will alienate all of the people who bought the Core, wont it? Too Bad, So Sad. With all of the recent problems that the 360 has (and has caused...), I'm beginning to hate MS. So, it sucks for us Sony people that (While the game will still be ready for the PS3 in October, 2007) the game will be released in 2008, all because of the fact that MS figured that "Blu-Ray isn't needed, HD-DVDs aren't needed, etc.

I've found out that this 'franchise' is L.A. Noire, which is basically GTA in the 1940's. Rumors are that there's a second unannounced franchise coming to the PS3 as well, but I'm not sure if this has been confirmed by Rockstar.
