Loved the interview, he's a really interesting guy, despite chatting some random shit at times.

nah, he's whole section was amazing, but his ender just seemed unimpressive compared to the rest of his section.

Hmmm I'm inclined to disagree with him being SOTY. To be honest he hasn't as hard as some skaters this year, i think he defiantly deserves some lifetime achievement award because he really really deserves that but a SOTY award? What about skaters like lil Mike Mo Capaldi that has gradually worked his way up this year and pulled an insane part? I just don't think he was the SOTY...

johnson's part in fully flared was mind blowing mikey, this is a fully deserved award.


mike mo's part was sick as hell too, and give him a few years and he'll be banging out parts that probably blitz johnson's, but johnson is in his prime at the moment so credit right now is a good thing in my eyes.

Dude im not saying Johnson's section was shit or that he is a shit skater all I'm saying that this year there are people who have repp'd more. Like Daewon that year he did so much for/in skating it was ridiculous, he fully deserves it i don't think Johnson does.

id say next year its either mike mo or bobby worrest, worrest is so underrated but he put out like 4 video parts this year.

Marc is a great skater, but I don't think he should have won. For me, the standout skater of the year would have to be Chris Haslam; I reckon he had the best section of the year in that Globe online thing

For me when i watch his section over and over on the dvd, you just begin to realise the madness of how good he is, he has so many tricks that could have been great enders, yeah some of them have been done before, but i read an interview saying he dedicated those tricks to those skaters.
Mike mo's time will come surely, i think hes only like 18 so maybe it isn't the right time for him to get soty but it's just a matter of time isn't it.

Has Haslam had skater of the year yet?
