They recruited real skaters to play in this film... by advertising on MySpace.
Paranoid Park is a real park.

there no skateboarders on myspace.
I might go and watch it soon aswell seeing as it is playing at the cornerhouse.
I'm not going to pay and go see it...
But if i somehow stumble across it in another way, i may give it a peek. I'm curious to know what on earth it's about. The trailer is a bit weird.

Looks a bit shit.
If you live around the manchester area it is showing at the cornerhouse on 25th 26th and 27th January. Its onl £3.30 or £4.00 to go and see it, price changes on the day u see it and whether u are a student or not. You can also get a discount if u are unemployed

I watched it yesterday! Its actually bloody brilliant, not expecting Gus Van Sant to make a shite film. The skating wasn't cliche in any way it was just nice to relate to the people a bit more. The ending will piss off people who aren't really into films, the whole thing was beautifully shot and the music went so well to it often adding a lot of humor in dire situations. Loved it and will buy it when it comes out on DVD.

Haha. Actually the trailer looks not too good, apart from his Zoo York hoody at the start

Oh and the hot girls. I'll still see the film cause its about time someone made another mainstream film that includes skating.
