Well should you need any pointers or help with anything, don't hesitate to ask. smile.gif

^^and the added healing time is a killer....and let's face it we haven't got decades left to skate in anyway sad.gif I suggest padding up a bit to begin with unless you want to have to sit out weeks not skating, but waiting when you get injured.

And you will lol
greg_cfc
thanks for all the encouragement (i think??!!).

and no need to worry, will be well padded up.

cheers for taking the time to say hello

This man speaks the truth! I'm 33 and just got back into skating after a long time out (18yrs) and five days after getting my new board i try too much too soon, fall off and end up in casualty. Torn ligaments in my arm and i'm out for about a month!

If only i'd worn pads 'sigh' sad.gif

I find it quite amusing having to explain why you are in casualty due to a skate injury when you are supposedly too old to do it. laugh.gif When I went with Col with his broken wrist and he told the nurse how he had done it, her answer was you do know thats for kids don't you?

Hello!

From one old(ie) to another...mid-life crises, what are those? Aren't they just things we wish we had done earlier and now have the bottle to do them? Or are they what 'normal' folks consider to be stuff that more mature folks shouldn't actually be doing?

Hah!

No mid-life crisis for me.. I've been skating since I was a teenager.. and I don't plan to stop until I absolutely have to.. Hopefully I'll still be able to roll though.
