Made me chuckle.
HARRY.
Man. Coheed and Cambria's vocalist is so fucking annoying.

However, this game looks so fun.

I was going to ask about this game a while back as its coming to the Wii, does anyone have it and if so is is better than guitar hero?

The drumming looks fun, I haven't tried that for a very long time.

It's not available in the UK/Europe yet.

Or at least I don't think so.
Aracmia
I didn't realise that.

From the website it appears you can download new songs to play, thats what I think Guitar Hero should be able to do. I mean you can hook the Wii up to the net so I don't see why not, also they released the game with the capabilities to play as a coop but you couldn't get another guitar until February of this year, when I had a look on play.com they wanted about £70 for it, its cheaper to by the game then you have a spare copy.

US, January 31, 2008 - In a third-quarter conference call today, Electronic Arts CEO John Riccitiello confirmed that a Wii version of Rock band is forthcoming.

Riccitiello mentioned the game at the end of the call's question-and-answer session. There was no release date given, but Riccitiello referred to the "coming launch" of a Wii version of the game.

There's been speculation about a Wii installment of Rock Band's since the game was announced. In April 2007, Harmonix CEO Alex Rigopulos said a Wii-specific version of the title would be coming out in the future.

"We will, at some time, bring Rock Band to every [important]platform," Rigopulos said at the time, adding that Harmonix would optimize future versions of Rock Band to fit the strengths of the platform. "I think the Wiimote is something that holds enormous promise."

Despite Rigopulos' strong statements, no official announcement had been made about a Wii version of Rock Band until Riccitiello's off-hand statement in today's conference call.

guitar hero?

Y'know I always wondered why people liked that game. I thought actually buying a guitar and playing your own tunes (learning all the chords and notes first of course) would be much more fun than this...but then I saw a video of some rock band members playing it and then I just gave up asking the question...

You can download additional GHIII content on the 360 and PS3.
HARRY.
Dunno about 360 Online, but the PSN charges you.

New Gnu asked the same question. At first I didn't go near it as I didn't think I would like it (I have a guitar and didn't think it was worth playing a plastic one). But after a while I had a go and got quite into it, its nothing like playing a real guitar.

I have a 360 now, so I'm allowed to say it.

I suppose they'd be digging themselves a hole, charging you for content and the yearly subscription.
