i skate mongo and ive heard it's easier to set up for tricks skating normal is it worth me changing the way i skate?

Yes definatly haha. I don't know what other people thing but pushing 'chicken' died in the 90's and i'm glad it stayed dead. I used to push mongo but no i push normal and you have so much more control when pushing fast etc.

dont change stance, just change which foot you push with in normal and then push with the other foot in switch

it'll seem wierd at first but youll benefit from it once it clicks

yeah if you can try and push with your other foot forward, its no easier to set up for tricks but people tend to rip in to mongos becuase people are cunts.

my mate skates mongo and makes it look so steezy its unreal.

i can push both and yes mongo does take longer to set up but that way im pushing with my stronger leg and can go faster so both have benifits

I used to push mongo, and it actually doesn't make a whole lot of difference trick-wise or owt, but i push "normal" now and it actually just feels nicer in general.

Or kneel down on one knee, grab the board with your hands, and push with the other leg.

I naturally push mongo, although i can push 'normal' too, but if i want speed i have to push mongo as pushing the other way feels like i have little control over the board.

After pushing this way for almost 22 years its kind of hard to just change over night.

As for the taking longer to set up for tricks, thats a load of bollocks, you dont see many people who push switch mongo having difficulty setting up quick do you?

It all depends on how i'm feeling as to which "style" i push like. And sometime i enjoy to cruise around doing one mongo push then a regular then a mongo then a regular then a mongo then a regular...etc...

if it was me id make the effort to learn the proper way
because a mate of mine who pushed mongo took like an hour to convert then he was used it to it. so why not

switch pushing feels so nice.
