I had a set of ricta cores that lasted me ages and recently got a flat spot. I liked them so much though and bought the new ricta boltz which are supposedly the most flat spot resistant, either way i like them

Ricta's, particularly the air cores, are notorious for flatspotting easily.
I gather you've not been skating long though, so they'll probably be fine for you unless you go out of your way to do powerslides and stuff

Never used Rictas so i can't really give an opinion on them, heard various bad things about them though. Personnally i'd say if you're after new wheels get Spitfires.

Mostly ace but I did have a crap set..
Same with spitfires.. nearly all ace but I've had a couple of crappy sets..
I think every wheel company messes up occasionally.

Not sure if they have changed the compound of the urethane or not but they flatspot way too easily for my liking. I've seen people rip the cores out sliding their wheels and a mate of mine flatspotted a set doing front rocks on mini.
The only core wheels i would reccomend are Spitfire S3 tracers although there are many other brands that are far cheaper that are just as good in my opinion..Landscape/Herion/Autobahn/Blueprint (blurethane)

I'm skating some Ricta's at the minute.
I like them, really hard and smooth, recently started flattspotting but I've had them for around 3-4 months.

I've had the same pair of Ricta wheels for far too long (years, skating on and off) and they've never flatespotted or had any other problems. I probably don't put them to as much stress as better skaters on here though.
