ok, don't get me wrong here i'm a great fan of Harrow, tis literally across the road from where i work and its really nice to have a skate before/during/after work...and let's not forget the skate heritage aspect (we'll draw a veil over the rough, cracked 'crete, the seventies shaped half pipe, the fact that only one bowl has coping.... etc, etc.)
but...
how does a skate jam save the skatepark? is there gonna be a petition? are councillors coming? is there press coverage?
details, woman, details

Claire

Anyways...

It actually sounds pretty awesome,
lack of funds puts a stop to me attending, though.

Because its knackered, doesnt meet the needs of todays style of skating?
I can understand why the nostalgic dont want it to go, as it is a huge part of the uk's skateboarding history, but skateboarding has evolved and changed so so much since it was built.
Look how many people are prepared to travel from one end of the country to the other to visit places like stoke/clitheroe. Personally cant see many people wanting to do the same road trip to skate harrow as it is, the jam will draw in the crowds for sure but on a regular basis the park isnt going bring in that amount of people.
Harrow may be rad, but it doesnt even come close the the status Livi has.

Just got back from this. Was OK. Cold wet and windy though. Dan Cates was there and he had some crazy board made up of three Death boards joined side by side, and was doing blunt fakies on it. Landed it eventually. Free food was good.
