I don't know where the desperate attempt to inject an overly strong opinion that I picked up off another forum came from. It didn't come from another forum (and you're so in the know that you'd have instantly spoted if I jacked it off a forum). Why is it a desperate attempt? As Laura pointed out, is sticking to our principles of etuqiette and common decency "selling out"? You think I'm raising the issue of what is essentially public bullying by a company for marketing purposes to be "cool"?

Consider the following scenario: you're on holiday in NY, walking down Wall St and having a good time, when some BMXers and skaters decide to pull up and unload hundreds of cocroaches onto your feet. Do you curse at them and feel severely pissed off, or notice the Zoo York logo and feel happy and reassured that a skate company you love is marketing their product (while having roaches crawl up your trousers, of course)?

The point is this Pip: no one should be causing a nuisance like that, no matter what company it is and no matter how much good they have done for their industry, especially a company that should be an inspiration for thousands of kids across the globe. If this was, say, a company that made computer parts behaving like this, I'm sure you wouldn't be so protective of them.

Don't forget that they are actually telling all their fans to do these sort of things though. It's more like not supporting a football team because they tell all their supporters to go around attacking the public for no reason.

Think of the 13-14 year skaters who will be influenced by this, and think that it's part of the cool skating subculture. They're probably going to start acting in a similar way to these "few". It's more than enough reason to boycott Zoo's product (no matter how good it may be).
