Hi,
used to skate back in the late 80's early 90's. Not skated for a longtime been busy surfing. Wanting to skate park and vert mainly and need advice on a deck/setup.
am I right in thinking I need a larger board for park/vert and due to the fact I am 6 foot and weigh about 14 stone?
thanks

haha go for a 7.75 or if needed an 8 for your deck
errm, try and get hold of one of those darkstar decks with the carbon fibre layer to stop snaps so easy
other than that whatever should be fine

You should take a look at this guide:

The best advice i can give is to go with what feels right. If you've skated before you should have a good instict as to what feels like the right size for you.
Go into your local skate shop and try standing on a few boards of different sizes. If you're going to be skating a lot of bowl and vert i'd advise a wider board, but it's really just down to personal preference

Santa Cruz Powerlite decks are meant to be some of the most durable decks ever made.
