I just learnt to ride a skateboard, after many times trying. I was practising on my mates board and i want to get one my self. I was wondering what type of board to get for a beginner and the price i would have to pay. Also i don't just want a rubbish one.

Any help?

Best bet is to have a look in the product forums..

id personally pick a blueprint board, i started off with an old poison board, but blueprint ones are pretty damn light, i learnt very quickly with it. I got mine off ebay for bout 60 quid.

TBH i never see the point in buying a decent setup to start with, i started on a mcgill setup which cost £30, all the people i kno who bought an expensive setu to start off with just gave up, its like a trend.

I tried starting on a cheap argos deck, but didn't really get anywhere until i got my first "proper" setup.
Ask some of you friends that already skate if they have some old bits they don't use anymore that you can buy cheap or get for free that way you can learn on a decent setup and not have to worry about forking out loads of money and then giving up.
