Read up on the old techniques of "right" composition and tried to apply them as much as i could to the photos. okay they are not great, but its a start, eh?

awww puppies. what you shooting with. I'm thinking of a dslr over my dads old pentax p50 because film is a pain the arse but the problem is i won't be able to use his lenses.

film over digi any day. although having a digislr is rather nice. but give me medium format and I'll love you.

i know film is nice but its a pain in the arse getting the film developed but dslrs are a million times more conveniant

And unfortunately, a million times more expensive...

not espicially i've seen a film slr going for bout 400 and i'm 2/3rds of the way to getting a d40.

i went though ebay, bought the camera body and the lense seperatly. came to about £240

35mm. Pentax p50 is a leg end though.

yup i got bout £170 and i seen a d40 kit on there for about 250 ish comes with lens, tripod, 4gigglebyte memory card and some other jizz. looks good to me and it doesn't come from hong kong.

Jessops sell for £300, but you get £30 cashback from Nikon, and a free carrying bag worth £50.

If i had the money i'd get it from there, cause you've got more chance of a refund/replacement/repair if it goes wrong.

As soon as i get a job i'm going to try and save almost every penny so i can get a D40.

also helps to have a friend who works in jessops.
