Seems an odd place to choose to build a 1200 person school if there's only 150 muslim families there... Why don't they just build it somewhere else?

I hate religion. It just causes shit.
France has the right idea if you ask me about not having religion in schools.

i hate subjects like this.
if i was to take the side of the australians trying to prevent the muslim school being made, then i'd be a racist straight away.
i heard a term on here once, islamization or something like that. that's pretty much what's happening.

I was undecided until the part where it say "Most of the students will be bussed in from Sydney"
If thats the case, build the school in Sydney, not in a nice party of the countryside that dosen't want a building that will undoubtedly spoil the area. 150 families of Muslims is no reason to build a new school.

Can someone explain why they need a muslim school? Can't they just go to the same one as everyone else?

May 26 2008, 08:57 PM
there is a difference between political correctness and a wish to be able to provide an alternative to an obviously christian orientated (secular or not) educational system
it's not islamisation, not by a long shot and its nothing compared to the christianisation of the world especially the increase in catholicism in african countries and even this country.

I wasn't saying this was political correctness I'm saying that you can't call a chalk boarda black board any more, you can't say Bah Bah Black sheep anymore.
We should of stopped at not saying "nigger" or "Packy"

I think what we should all understand here is... if the locals don't want it, then it shouldn't be built.
Simple, it's not political correctness, it's not racism... it's common sense.
No doubt it probably WILL get built though, cause l;ike it or not, minority's tend to get their own way.

Too fuckin right!
We don't want immigrants coming here with their rich culture lol
(and those bludging Abos had better goddam watch it too)
Seriously tho, if its "all about planning" etc then why remarks like these:
"Everywhere is being destroyed. Why don't we tell the truth. They're wrecking Australia. They're taking us over," she said.
"Why hasn't anyone got any guts? They've got terrorists amongst 'em... They want to be here so they can go and hide in all the farm houses... This town has every nationality... but Muslims do not fit in this town. We are Aussies, OK."Oh yeah. Just like the 350+ mainly women & children who died when their refugee boat SIEV X sunk up north off Java. They were all likely terrorists too, according to PM John Howard.
Remember the Cronulla riots? which happened in a 98% anglo area, a similar demographic to Camden:

my view of this is that, if the locals dont want it, it shouldnt be built.
theyve already seen off macdonalds twice so my guess is that it wont go through.

the whole religion thing is way out of hand
the school should simply be built if a school is needed and nothing to do with religion

May 27 2008, 01:54 PM
^^Yeah but that's the point the locals were saying...that the school would have *everything* to do with religion ie teaching proto-terrorists to 'subvert our aussie way of life'
On the news tonight was footage of crowds of yobs at the council meeting wearing aust flags/with Southern Cross tatts doing that bogan "aussie aussie aussie oi oi oi' chant that makes me want to puke every time I hear it lol
"I've done a few thousand, they're really easy the shop probably averages, in summer, seven to 10 a week." - Camden tattoo artist
