been skating about 2 months now, i'm 14, i normally skate about 4 hours a day, every day
so far i've got down the ollie (moving and stationary) and the shuvit, not pop shuvit though
i have this setup

shorty bolts, and bones reds bearings.

these shoes for skating

i practise on a pretty small park, just one small bowl and a few rails, alot of open space
i skateboarded as a little kid so i dont need to practise riding or anything, i have that all done.

i dont know whether to be street or park skater, im thinking street mainly because i cant learn to drop in, i've tried like 3 times and faceplanted every time =O
but i can ride around ramps and bowls okay.

anyway, any info and or tips much appreciated. shuriken.gif

I'd say get a new setup once u get properly into it, element suck!
But with dropping-in your garenteed to faceplant your first few goes, keep at it and lean forwards lots, the ramp will always catch you. Good Luck!

really?, i thoguht element was one of the best brands going? and i seem to do okay with it

what would you recomend for my next one, i was thinking either flip, enjoi or zero
and some destructo trucks

as for the dropping in, yea i suppose i'll haveto learn sometime, its pretty scary though ph34r.gif

Element boards arent too bad, its just they dont last very long once you start improving and trying bigger stuff. Trucks are all more or less the same, some weigh more that others, some break easier than other, its a case of seeing what works for you best.

As for what board to choose, have a look what other people reccomend in the product opinion part of the forum smile.gif

Your setups pretty good, no need to change anything untill it becomes shagged. Then maybe try different makes to see if you prefer a certain type of trucks or something.

Skate what you enjoy skating, simple as that, It's usually good to skate abit of everything so no matter where you go you can always have a good skate.
