I'm pretty new to skating so I'm expecting to have some good days and a fair few bad ones,
But today honest to god i was worse than when i very first started, it was totally disheartening.
I like to feel that I'm making progress every time i go out, not tonight, nothing was working!
Is it just me or does everyone have some really bad days?

This one time I couldn't land any railflips, then my girlfriend cheated on me.
That wasn't a great day. I managed to get both of them back the next day though, so that was slightly better

Why on earth would you want your girlfriend back if she cheated on you?
Everyone has shit days, some days i learn new tricks/variations, others i struggle with staying on the board. Wouldnt let it bother you too much though

Apparently the other guy kissed her, so it's not her fault

Skating can mess with your mind a little abit, when you get into it properly, but like sken said you have your very good, your good, your bad an your very bad days. Same with every sport/hobby really.

the best thing to do is just not think about it. if you cant land anything just have a mess around skate instead and just cruise around until you start to get into it abit more, thats what i do anyway.

Everyone gets off days, learning how to cope with an off day is a key skill to learn. I have recently discovered my way of coping, it's to stop skating for the day. If I'm skating bad then it's not going to change for the day, I don't bother anymore and just let it beat me.

I usually just do less skating, and more watching. Or just relax a bit, i don't really let it get to me that much. I seem to get more shit days than good so i've got used to it.

im like that some days cant do anythin and some i learn like 3 tricks in one day like about 2 weeks ago i could not axel stall i finally got on it and tryed to drop bk in but my trucks got caught and i went face first after i recovered (1 week done my knee in pretty good) i was avble to axel, 50-50, and learnt to 5-0 so dont let it bother you just get back up and try again

I'm having this problem lately, but for me they don't come in days. They come in seasons almost.
Lately, the more i try or practice a trick, the crapper they get.
To be perfectly honest, i've pretty much lost everything, except on Mini-ramp, in the last month or three, i've lost Kickflips, actual Pop shuvs (now they're not popped at-all) 50-50s on Grindboxes, i guess i've lost Heelflips, but they were never solid. Varial flips, they were pretty consistent, cant do anymore, same with fakie ones.
Its sort of like, i stopped progressing, and instead of having a neutral few weeks where i didn't learn anything new, i went into an absolute Regress, and lost everything, i pretty much feel like I'm starting from scratch, which means I'm not enjoying it as much as i want to be.
Oh well, I've just set up a different combination of trucks, hopefully this will make a difference, maybe i'll be able to skate in a Straight line without veering off to the left.
......Rant over
