Hey, been readin this forum for a few weeks, thought I might as well sign up!

I started skating in april. Well I started about when i was about 11/12, got a feel for the board, but all I could do was ride the thing, never learnt a single trick, couldn't ollie or manual, and I had no friends who skated and I think this was before youtube emerged so I had nothing to learn from. I gave up after about a year (long time with no progress, i know!) Fast forward 6 years or so and I discover after knowing my group of best friends for just under 2 years they're all sick at skating but gave up before they met me. So after seeing them pop some finger flips and varials from nowhere, I decided I wanted to start again and so did they! And i'm glad i did, I've learnt 5 or 6 flips tricks standing still already, just need to get rolling now.

I've always found forums very helpful, they've crafted my taste in music, developed my guitar playing and audio engineering abilities and I can tell this forum is full of nice helpful people, so its a pleasure to meet you all!

Any croydon skaters on here?

Haha, seriously, I've seen some ridiculous shit in forums. People at least seem to have a sense of humour here

one of my mates made a thread about some files he was gonna upload for the people on another forum. When it turned out he couldn't get them, one of the main posters found his myspace and made signs of his face saying do not talk to this man. People take the internet faaaaaaaaar too seriously some times

Upload files? Oh yeah.. wink.gif

Welcome.
