i did that thing where you stick the wheel halfway into the truck and then kind of pull the bearing out sideways, but it took ages and was so hard. are there any easier ways to do it?
DarkFS
Yep, stick an allen key inside and just tug out the bearing. Takes a few seconds, if that.
tellyourmumisaidhello
yeah but if it slips you can fuck the shields (if rubber) use the truck its safer.
DarkFS
I dont understand how somthing that bends at a 90 Degree angle can slip like that. Stick the allen key into the bearing and stop when you get to the corner, then simply leaver the bearing out.

I dont have shields on the insides of mine, does that matter?
DarkFS
Nope.

look at the diagram

i find the spacers rather disturbing when using the key for getting the bearings out the wheels. havent ever tried the truck thing though yet, but my bearings also got a few dents from my last attempt of using another tool...

Yer ive tried that and its hard took me like half an hour and i got real sore hands
greebo-dude
naahhhhh i just stick a knife in the wheel or i stick something round in the wheels and push down on it then the bearing flings out tongue.gif be careful it doesnt hit u in the head biggrin.gif
Mikeyfish
If you get the leverage right with the allen key, its easy smile.gif
oldie
I tend to either use a screw driver or the truck method...
Ben
Some wheels are easy to get bearings out of, some are hard, I just use the axle of the truck and keep trying for ages if its a hard wheel to get them out of!
grannyslam
yeah thats what i used t do but i got over doing it every month
Gorg.
i just take the wheel off, then poke a screw down the hole at an angle so it touches the bearing from the inside, then push, it works fine for me.
Kieran
depends on the bearings. if there relativly new, there harder to get out. also bones reds are hard to get out if there not cleaned regulary

DO not do that with your bearings.. after so long and it knocks the sheilds off and then basically fucks your bearings up, ive killed so many bearings doing it from stupid shop owners telling me to do it that way..

it might be a struggle, but it saves money.. just push bearings in with your thumbs ninja.gif

Cant I bang your head against a table and see what comes out?
Diqq.!
my current set of wheels and bearings just didnt fit, kicking and jumping on them didnt make them go in, so what i did is put both bearing as far as i could kick them in the tighten a bolt around it that gets them in well if anyone is having realy trouble getting them in
