Im in the process of building a 28ftx14ft half pipe / ramp skate park in my back garden and need to know what surface is recommendable?

Im going to use 3/4 plywood for the decking and 3/8 x 2 for the ramps, as detailed in the thrasher Skate park book. It mentions using Masonite sheets for the surface but I think its more common in America as I cant find a stockist over here at a cheap price.

has anyone buildt a ramp and could advise a suitible skating surface other than ply-wood??
Thanks

Use ply unless you're prepared to splash out.. But try to cover it in the rain.

use marine ply (it uses a different glue to bond the veneers together) and it won't need covering. (marine ply costs more tho')
