Well i would go against spending a full £100 on a set up which 6 months down the line could be being used as a rather attractive shelf.
Go into your local skateshop and ask them what set-ups they would suggest for a beginner. You could get one from an online skate store, if this is the case check out http://www.kateskates.co.uk for completes. If your not familiar with any skate shops in your area, let us know where you live and we will try and find one for you.

For my first pro deck I got a RouteOne Blank deck (£25), I still have it after a year or so, so it lasts more than 6 months. I did cavemans and ollies and other stuff before I got the bored so if your a beginner it should last you ages. I got krux trucks (not sure how much but ventures are good), Ricta slim wheels (£25-£35 (No not each they come as four)). You can use your bearings from your old deck or buy some new ones (around £10-£15). I got this set up from RouteOne. Here is the link if you want it.... RouteOne Linkage Linkage to skateboards (blanks) Linkage to skateboards (U.S graphic decks Linkage to skateboards (U.K graphic decks) Linkage to trucks Linkage to wheels Linkage to other hardware
RouteOne May NOT be the best site I know.. but they are reliable for me. The only problem is they sold out of the size decks I need.

my first proper deck i got about 2 weks ago from the actual kateskates shop, mini logo deck, code wheels, poison trucks for £65 but if your a complete beginner i would recommend not spendig a lot of money on one in case you decide its not your thing

if your buying your first board, go to a skateshop, buying online is a big mistake, you never know what your gunnu end up with, espically buying crappy 50quid completes..
your local skateshop owner will set you up good! where abouts are you from?
