Read this on the Extreme website, and thought some of the aspiring filmers, editors and photographers of Sk8uk might be interested in this (Moyno, Muzz?). I for one intend to send something in for this, and I just thought some of you might be interested. The next bit of text is just additional information (not on the page previously linked to)

NKE6.0 Media Apprentice
NKE6.0 has a wicked opportunity up for grabs for a talented individual between the ages of 16 and 20 who is passionate about all elements of multimedia as well as the action sports industry.
The NKE6.0 Media Apprentice will be offered the chance to learn from some of the best photographers, cameramen, journalists, editors, producers and designers on the planet.
Over the year, the Apprentice will get the chance to meet and work with the likes of Richie Hopson (Free-sports/Fashion photographer), Chris Moran (Editor of Whitelines Snowboard Magazine), Paul Bliss (bmx and fmx photographer) as well as a whole host of others.
They will also get to document the NKE6.0 Team throughout 2005/2006. Following the team at events throughout the UK, they will help update the NKE6.0 website with news, rider profiles, images and mpegs. Great stuff for your portfolio!
As you could be working with some of the hottest pros out there, it’s only right that you are kitted out with some professional stuff... So NKE6.0 have teamed up with Olympus to provide you with top quality equipment in the form of an Olympus E-System camera and training in how to use it.
NKE6.0 is looking for someone with a background and active interest in action sports culture who wants to expand their horizons by gaining experience in the media side of the industry.
- Are you diligent, responsible and able to travel around the UK?
- Do you believe you’ve got what it takes to make it in the media?
Then send in two of your best pieces of work on CD.
Either film (under 2 minutes long) or a folder of photographs (maximum 10 photos). The submission can either be 2 films, 2 folders of pics or one of each.
All submissions need to be entered by the 31st December 2005.
