I couldn't see Mullen retiring 'till he really can't skate, I mean he may not be proffessional forever but he'll always have smething in skating, after all utting in all that work I doubthe could actually just leave skateboarding.

mullen isn't realy "owner" but he's came up wtih alot of board ideas. i dunno if its true or not...but i heard it was his idea for the new wave design.
lol Yensid.
Let us know what the deck's like when you've had a good skate. I reckon Almost will be a cool company, slightly wierd and outrageous, but thats always a bonus...
I like the 'chinese' deck - a bit of spew on the pavement.

What a bizarre web site, i like Rodney Mullen, he is great to watch, i am convinced he is not human with most of the tricks he pulls off.

You would be noticed with this deck!
I read an interview ages ago with Rodney mentioning he was starting this company with Daewon. I just noticed they are selling money on that site! One Dollar for a One Dollar note, Bargain!! :D

I'm not sure if he still does but Mullen did own a large share of World, as he was oneof the founders.(It was on his On Video feature thingy.)

Hey all, this might be old news to you guy's but i've only just found out myself, Rodney Mullens formed a new company with Daewon Song.
It's called Almost skate company and there website's here http://www.almostawebsite.com/
I've had a look at there decks and have seen my next deck, It's the one in the middle of the decks page called "Mullen Shin Guards"
Good to see Mullen know's how dorky he looked in those old 80's video's too
some of the decks use a new vertical ply technique Mullen invented that apparently strengthens as well as gives more pop to the board, I've actually got the same thing on my Mullen "pretty in punk" Enjoi deck i haven't skated yet, I thought the weird patterning around the ends of my board were just some cool design but apparently not, thats the "V-Ply" thing the site talks about
Anyway, any of you get the feeling i'm a Mullen fan???

I think Mullen's a part owner of Dwindle, which is the distribution company for a ton of makes such as enjoi, world industries, tensor etc

Yea, i'd heard that too, though im fighting the misconception that anything made in china is done in a sweatshop, and i trust Mullen's share in the company and his "nice guy" reputation that they wouldn't do that (i have to believe this, since im opening up a package with one of there skateboards in now)

Yea, i'll give ya a full report as soon as i ride it, though that'll probably be in the summer since i've got a "wet board" which i use for these crappy days. Fortunately my mate's got an almost deck so i'll have to have a try of his and tell ya what i think.
By the way, thanks for telling us what that chinese deck was, i've been looking at it from all different angles and couldn't work out what it was supposed to be!
