I'm looking for a new board. On kateskates.co.uk there is a £22 voltage board with 9 ply chinese maple deck with ABEC 7 bearings. Or for £40 I could get a voltage board with 7 ply Canadian maple deck with ABEC 5 bearings and Sidecut wheels. I cnow the ABEC 5 bearings will make it be a smoother, faster ride but I don't know about the wood type. If someone could help I would be greatful

Cheers. What's wrong with Voltage? My friend says their great and he's a hard core skater. He says the ABEC scale is good so I'll stick with that. But he says that the lower the number the better. I have only had one board and I'm ok on it but I don't want to buy single parts yet. Are Renner or Powerslide good?

go to your local skate shop and buy one of their base level decks, the one in my town sells the cheapest deck for £25 complete with griptape fitted for that price. and with you buying from a skate shop, they arent likely to sell crap stuff, plus your supporting your local shop and keeping it running.

I don't have a local shop. This is £40 for Double Kick 7-ply Canadian maple deck.
Size 31inch by 7.5inch.
53mm x 31mm Sidecut Wheels.
ABEC 5 bearings.
heavy duty Raw Trucks.
