Locals in Stamford have started a project to build a new skatepark in the town, the previous ramps were taken down in May ‘08 because they had reached the end of their shelf life and the town is currently without any form of skate facility.

The project aims to raise £200k to build a new world class concrete skatepark, they’ve already raised over £50k after a year of fundraising and need your support to help reach their goal. If you live in Stamford or in a nearby town or village show your support by heading down to one of the meetings – the next of which will be held on Wed 27th Jan @ Mama Liz’s bar on North St, Stamford.

Head over to the Stamford Skatepark website for all the latest news and updates and check out some of the proposals for the skatepark below.
