Am I too old to learn?

How can I take my skateboard on a plane?

As each passenger is now restricted to carrying only one item of cabin baggage through the airport search point with a maximum size of 56cm x 45cm x 25cm, skateboards will have to be packed in a separate bag to be put in the hold. This bag must be checked in, make sure it is wrapped carefully to avoid damage. You can always call you airline before you go on holiday to see what their policies are.

Is there a right way to push?

There is no right way to push a skateboard, try different pushing methods and see what feels most comfortable to you and continue to push like that.

Should I wear protection when skateboarding?

This is completely down to personal preference – if you feel save enough on a skateboard without protection then go right ahead. We do recommend using protective gear on any vert ramp and if it’s a younger child who is skateboarding. Some skate parks will require you to wear some form of protection as a way of protecting themselves from health and safety.

How can I make a skateboard last longer?

The need to keep your skateboard in a dry, cool room – never leave a skateboard outside or in a car overnight, the cold will only cause it to deteriorate quicker. Also practicing landing simpler tricks on the bolts can improve your landing when trying tricks which are likely to make you land awkward and snap your deck. Most of all never let your skateboard get wet – it will become deadwood!
