How To 360 Flip

(A 360 degree b/s varial kickflip, also known as ‘tre flip’)

Jason, Tre Flip - Photo: MKTomA 360 Flip is essentially same thing as a varial flip, except that you do a 360 Shuv-It instead of a 180. You should learn 360 shuv-it’s and varial flips before learning this trick as it helps immensely.

Position one foot on the tail as you would for a shuv-it and your front foot slightly further back from where you would place it for a kickflip. Pop the tail whilst going at a moderate speed. When doing this, try and sweep the tail in the opposite direction you are facing, so that it starts rotating. As you do this, flick up your front foot to flip the board. You need to have a fair bit of height for this trick, so make sure you jump nice and high. As soon as you see the board completing the spin catch it with your front foot to stop it flipping or rotating any further. Then guide it down with both feet over the truck bolts and crouch on landing to absorb the impact.

When learning this trick try and keep your shoulders parallel with the board and when jumping try and jump forward as the deck will travel in front of you when you flip it.
